HARD ❤ CANDY ~ Fox in a BOX

Thought i would share my excitement for these two blushes i've just been loving lately. Like many of you i love watching tutorials on you tube and one of my favourite channels to watch is Shaaanxo. If you don't know of her definitely go check her out she's very sweet and alot of fun to watch. One of her recent videos was "My Top 5 Must Have Blushes" and she mentioned Hard Candy Fox in a Box was so good she ordered them from America (She lives in New Zealand) meaning she is willing to pay a good amount more than they are sold in drugstore. Which made me think they must be good to go to the effort of shipping and paying more just to get them. That was enough for me to go hunting for them =) i found mine on Amazon for £6.99 each but i noticed Ebay selling them for £4.99 ~ Hard Candy - Fox in a Box.

I shamefully ordered the Spicy & Sweet shade yesterday. I say shamefully because i'm on a spending ban! As you know makeup addicts always find some crazy excuse to buy more. Mine was what if everybody realises how amazing these blushes are and they sell out! Yes i'm pathetic lol

If you've tried these i'd love to hear your thoughts, it's always nice hearing another opinion =)

Metallics & Glitter Eyes

Hi everyone,
i decided to spend an hour playing with makeup and the following pictures are the results of that. I decided to use the MUA Undress Me Too Palette and that is what inspired the metallic eyes. Personally i love metallics and i'm never satisfied with one i always want them all on my lids at once =D I kept my eyebrows very natural by just brushing them up then applying eyebrow gel through them to help them look groomed.

MUA Undress Me Too Palette colours used ~ Fiery, Lavish, Devotion, Exposed & Corrupt.
Urban Decay ~ Strip (Discontinued) Sorry!!
Barry M ~ Fine Glitter Dust no4
StarGazer ~ Glitter Shaker, Copper
Glitz it ~ Black Glitter, purchased from Amazon
e.l.f ~ Eyebrow Treat & Tame - Ash
Benefit ~ They're Real

I recently purchased a few glitters and thought it would be fun to try them out over my metallic eyes i think they look really great, not sure this is a look i'd wear out tho lol but i had fun rocking this look around my room! =P

The blush i'm wearing is the Clarins Face and Blush Powder i blogged about not long ago. I've been using it everytime i do my makeup. It's handy having a blush and bronzer in one. The colour is perfect for my pale skin and really brightens my complexion.

Thank you so much for having a nosy =) It makes me smile. Don't forget to comment x

Pixi Glow Tonic & Flawless Beauty Primer ~ First Impressions & Review

There is one thing certain in my life, Caroline Hirons ~ Her Amazing Blog ~ is bad for my bank account! But hey at least the stuff she recommends works. I decided after reading her 20% off Pixi Beauty post i'd finally purchase the Pixi Glow Tonic, and when i wasn't looking someone sneaked the flawless beauty primer into my basket =P jokes! At the time delivery was also free. I'm glad i ordered when i did it didn't take long for the glow tonic to go out of stock and currently it still is. So i feel very blessed i got my hands on one.
I ordered mine from here ~ PixiBeautyUK

Swatch of the flawless beauty primer ~ Sheer peachy nude.

After only 3 days of using the Glow Tonic morning and night i noticed a big difference in the texture of my skin and it has also helped with redness that i had around my nose. It's a pleasure to use knowing it will improve my skin it does have a strong scent but not in an irritating way. I'm already a big fan and i'll be sure to update you after using it consistently for the next month.

I've only used the flawless primer once it's described on the website as 'Even, flawless skin tone is the sign of youthful healthy skin. Sometimes we need a little help with the glow from within. This primer is the perfect solution; the formula is loaded with skin loving ingredients. Formula contains powerful anti-aging and skin fortifying benefits. Formula suitable for all skin types.'

Beneficial Ingredients and what they do:
  • Pearl extract for revitalization, protection and anti-aging
  • Truffle extract is a luxury additive rich in amino acids and minerals to tone and hydrate
  • Vitamin E increases skin elasticity.
  • Vitamin A is a powerful antioxidant
  • Vitamin C has revitalizing and nourishing benefits.
It has the most beautiful peachy sheen and my skin looked luminous after i applied my foundation. I hope this has been some help to you, it's sometimes hard ordering items when you've never seen them for yourself it feels like bit of a gamble. I'm very happy with what i ordered and know i'll use them to death.

 love you loads xx

My Primer Rant!! Maybelline Baby Skin Pore Eraser

A few days ago i posted a small rant on Facebook which i don't often do. I've decided to cement it forever and ever in blogging world! Here i go like every other beauty lover when a makeup brand brings out a new product i'm very happy to go into Boots or wherever to have a nosey at the shiny new product that is full of claims and test that bad boy out before i make the decision to purchase.

My judgemental finger is pointed at the new Maybelline Baby Skin Pore eraser.

Overhyped!!

When i swatched it on the back of my hand it felt like horrible cheap silicone sure enough the ingredients says it all!

*sigh*

  • At £7.99, overpriced for what it is -shitty silicone.
  • Ingredients says "i was cheap to make"
  • Packaging probs cost more than product!! And it's horrible

I think what baffled me is the fact Maybelline have the resources and money to bring out a half decent highstreet/drugstore primer and what we get is this! That tells me they care more about money than us :( well it's true and you know it!

Glad i got that off my chest lol I apologise if you think this primer is really good. At the end of the day it's only my wee opinion. And if like me you hate it yet have purchased it, you can always use it as a hair serum to smooth frizz (Yes you heard me correctly)

What are your thoughts i'd love to hear them good or bad x

Clarins Graphic Expression Face & Blush Powder

I thought i would share my latest purchase i've been oohing and ahhing over it all day =) I decided i'd take a look in Gordons chemist as they always seem to have great deals on skincare and noticed a basket full of reduced Clarins makeup and skincare. This is my first Clarins purchase EVER! I remember it might of been September when i first seen this blush but i couldn't bring myself to spend £30 on it, so when i seen it for £12 i thought it's now or never. It describes this powder as a collection of three harmonious colours to beautifully enhance the complexion. I love the packaging and the velvet pouch it comes in, makes it feel really luxurious.  I'll get back to you on my thoughts and a selfie after i've used it a few times, it'll be interesting to see how it looks on my pale skin.

Until next time xx

Boots No.3 Fig and Blackberry Filled Glass Candle

Just thought i'd post up a few piccies of my new favorite candle which was a very sweet and thoughtful gift given to me by my best friend. I do love burning a candle normally once i light one i just let it do it's thing, but i've decided to keep this one good and only light it on special occassions. I really love the pattern on the glass and i'm hoping after the candle is finished i can use it as a brush holder.

If your in Boots i urge you to find this and have a sniff. It honestly smells amazing plus it looks beautiful x

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!! My New Year Resolutions 2014

Hi everyone,
I don't normally make myself new year resolutions but i've had much to think about in 2013. Sometimes it's nice to give yourself a shake and set yourself goals and hopefully self improvement happens in the process.

Supporting companies that don't test or abuse animals, that includes makeup, skincare and clothes. I'm a big animal lover and when i see videos or articles being posted on animal testing or abuse, it sickens me to my stomach. So 2014 shall see me trying new animal friendly brands and sharing my finds with my clients and my internet friends.

Get my driving licence. I start lessons then i just give up on them i'm not sure why! Laziness maybe or fear lol If i could drive i would be free to do as i please without the added worry of how i'm getting to jobs. Plus it would be lovely to know i could help my friends or family if needed. When i pass i'll celebrate by driving to the beach!! =D Who's coming?

LIVE LIFE TO THE FULLEST. I guess this statement can be pretty vague and over used. Truth is life is very very short even for those who live into their 80's or 90's just ask them! I don't believe living life to the fullest means out every weekend partying, bungee jumping or some sky diving. It's the simple things like being thankful your alive. Spending your time with friends and family. Laughing at silly cat pictures on Buzzfeed lol

It's hard to type this. At this moment my very best friend is in hospital fighting cancer and hasn't been given long to live. This has made me realise i need to show love more often. It's all well and good saying you love someone but showing it, is something entirely different. Needless to say i've been hugging everyone around me.
Spending time, really listening to someone, going out of your way to help. There's lots of ways love can be shown.

This is one of my favorite bible verses.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
LOTS OF LOVE
Sonya x
